The original Kent Theatre opened in 1934 as the Empire Theatre and by the late 50's had become part of the Odeon chain and renamed the Kent Odeon. Closed in the late 70's the room was transformed into the space you see today. Numerous renovations and additions later, we have The Kent as it stands today.
We are home to weddings, dances, live music, birthday parties, kid's events and more. We also host many of the city's cultural groups and celebrations here.
We have featured a wide range of performers: Saskatchewan's own Sheepdogs, PEI native Lennie Gallant, Nova Scotia's JJ Roots, Hometown girl Kylie Fox and a wide range of local bands and entertainers. Thanks to our own equipment on site and our strong partnership with Fundy AV we can meet all your audio and lighting needs.
How can we help you ?
While we are primarily a rental venue, we do host a number of events ourselves in partnership with Fundy AV and the Imperial Theatre.
